It’s a beautiful morning. I woke up early, went for a walk, ate some fruit and then I even treated my hair to both shampoo and conditioner while in the shower. My hair feels so silky and I’m full of energy, although I did spend five minutes poking my eyeball around, trying to find the contact lens I had just lost inside there, only to discover that I had actually dropped the lens on the floor.
That’s not the first time that’s happened, this month.
Moving on…
Wandering Earl Tours – 2015
To make this morning even better, I’m excited to announce the Wandering Earl Tours that will be on offer for the second half of this year!
As the requests keep coming in for additional tours, my aim with this tour project always remains the same – to create unique, affordable trips that allow those interested to experience exciting destinations that you want to visit, but that you might not want to visit on your own. Or perhaps you just want to travel in a relaxed setting, diving deeper into the heart of a country than you would on a traditional bus tour. Or maybe you just want to jump start your own long-term travels with a small group trip in order to learn the ropes and gain some valuable travel experience. Whatever the reason, these trips are indeed ideal.
For the rest of 2015, I’ve looked at a bunch of options, I tweaked a couple of the existing itineraries and I then added some completely new adventures to the list as well, including the very first Wandering Earl Beach Treat as you’ll see below!
Since November 2012, I’ve now offered 14 tours all over the world and have had over 119 people sign up for these trips. I still can’t believe those numbers. I really, really can’t.
But every time I do think about it, I become even more dedicated to making sure that as many people as possible have an opportunity to enjoy this different kind of travel experience, the kind of travel experience that simply can’t be found on any other kind of tour.
Tours for July – December 2015:
Wandering Earl Retreat (Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA) – July 23rd – 27th The very first Wandering Earl Beach Retreat!
Just click on the links above to read the details about each trip!
And as always, these tours include as much as possible, from quality budget accommodation to all transportation to entrance fees and local guides to daily activities to many meals as well. I really want you to be able to just show up and concentrate on making the most out of every single experience, every single day of the adventure, without having to worry about the logistics.
Over on my Wandering Earl Tours page, you can also read feedback from previous trips I’ve offered so that you can get a better idea of what these tours are all about.
I sincerely look forward to hearing from anyone who might be interested in joining any of these trips and of course, if you have any questions at all, just send me an email!

I love the sound of these tours (generally I’m not a fan of tours) – I’ll have to check back for 2016 ones as we’re not on the road travelling until December 15. Good luck and hope they go well.
If you like the Eastern culture Istanbul would be great trip. It’s so much different in every way – religion, food, nature, people. It would be great to experience one of the most ancient cities.
Hi Earl!
I find it a very nice this idea with the tours you do! Especially for people that the like to travel in a group but still individual! Very nice! I find the Indonesia tour with Komodo very interesting!
I wish you a good time on your upcoming travels!
Be safe!
I have been reading your website for a while now and always finds it interesting and informative. A year or so ago you mentioned the good work that “Animal aid umlimited” is doing in India and I have been donating to them since.
Please be so kind to mention them again in upcoming posts since I am sure that your followers are growing by leaps and bounds.$25 goes a lot farther in India than in the USA and every little bit helps.
I laughed for a really long time at the “poking my eyeball around” comment, because man can I relate. I hate my contact lenses, they’re forever swimming around the back of my eye, making me wonder how it’s so danged easy to get back there in the first place, and I always have that moment where I freak out temporarily wondering if I will ever find it again, and what would happen if it were to stick there forever. Retreat! Very cool, hope it ends up annual!! You’ll be in Florida just before we arrive there in August, hope it goes wonderfully and cannot wait for pics and posts from Istanbul. I love that place dearly.
Hi Earl,
it’s impressive you have done so many tours already and keep planning. I’m sure you are a fantastic guide, lucky all the few that will be able to go around with you!!
J.
What do you do generally when you are not on tours and where do you spend most of your time? Do you have a part-time or contract job which enables you to go on tours several times a year? I would also like to do this but not sure if i will be able to afford to do tour and manage rest of the life together.
Just curious!!!
I really really want to go on the India tour. Are you gonna lead that one yourself? I saw a comment somewhere above that you don’t lead them all yourself.
Looks rather wonderful especially for travellers who would prefer to travel with a more relaxed and experienced traveller such as yourself. I might even join you myself one of these days. Good luck & I’m sharing this post on Twitter.
I don’t lead all of the tours myself these days. For some trips, I have friends/experienced guides who know certain areas even better than I do and so they lead the tour!
I like the two old ladies in your photos, they are the ones who make those two photos that you featured great! It’s awesome to see old people still going on adventures, gives me hope for the future!
I emailed you last year and it turned out we just missed each other in South East Asia then… looks like we’ll just be missing each other in India this year! Dang! I get there on October 30 or 31 I believe…. maybe next year 🙂

You are becoming quite the guide Earl … best wishes on this year’s tours!

Hey Joe – That’s so great to hear and I will give them another mention soon!

A beach retreat sounds lovely! Good luck with your new tours this year!

Oh man I will be in India like two weeks before you do the tour. I would have to loved to do it and meet the man himself!
Hey Anita – We’ll make it happen eventually!

Yes, I will be leading the India tour! Send me an email if you wish to join!
That photo of all of you on the boat. It’s BEAUTIFUL!! Where on earth is that?
Hey Avery – That’s on the Ganges River in Varanasi, India!

Hey Victoria – I look forward to it!
How are you able to do “Wander Across India – October 2–18” and “Wander Across Indonesia – October 1–12” at the same time?
I don’t lead all of the tours myself these days. For some trips, I have friends/experienced guides who know certain areas even better than I do and so they lead the tour!
In all likelihood I will quit my job at the end of this month so perhaps now I’ll have the time to join you on a tour!

Yehhh that sounds all awesome, the Florida beach retreat is much needed =) and I wouldn’t mind to go back to incredible India.
